  As the budding tree shows eternal growth, so does this medal signify the spirit of prosperity and harmony on mankind. By Churyo Sato.
• Bronze or Copper
  This medal is dedicated to man reaching out towards space subsuming the endless progress of the 20th Century and praying for the harmony of peace and goodwill of mankind. By Shigeo Fukuda.
